“Nothing is too difficult for God!”

Imagine meeting Cleko (not his real name), a 69-year-old resident of Bududa, Uganda. His life was filled with hardships, living in a humble home made of mud and branches and struggling with a severe jigger infestation. With no reliable income and his adult children unable to support him, Cleko faced immense challenges and needed our help.

When we discovered Cleko, our hearts went out to him. His clothes were tattered, and his body was frail and emaciated. We immediately brought him to our Hope Center, providing him with the care he desperately needed. Our compassionate team extracted a staggering 688 jiggers from his body, relieving him of unbearable pain.

But our support extended beyond physical healing. We understood that Cleko carried the weight of emotional wounds caused by his children's neglect. That's why we offered him essential psychosocial support, helping him cope with feelings of rejection and abandonment.

After just two weeks, Cleko's transformation was remarkable. His wounds healed, and he radiated newfound strength and vitality. To ensure his continued well-being, we provided him with a resettlement package, enabling him to maintain proper hygiene in his home.

Months later, we couldn't contain our joy during a follow-up visit. Cleko was completely free from jiggers! It was a testament to his resilience and the power of collective compassion. Cleko's story fuels our passion and belief that every individual deserves a chance at a healthier, happier life.

In Cleko's own words, "Nothing is too difficult for God!" This quote resonates deeply with us, reminding us that with faith and determination, incredible transformations are possible.

Join us in celebrating Cleko's incredible journey and supporting our ongoing efforts in Uganda. Together, with faith and compassion, we can make a lasting impact, restoring hope and dignity to those in need, one step at a time.
