Children looking toward sunrise over Ugandan town

Help open the Brighter Days Clinic in Uganda

You helped children walk free from jiggers. Now you can help their hearts heal too.

Why this clinic matters

Jiggers attack the feet, but the pain reaches deeper. Children hide. Parents feel ashamed. Trauma settles in the heart.

Your support already helps children walk free from jiggers and restores dignity. Families who once came only for jigger treatment now come to us with stories of fear, anxiety, trauma, and addiction they carry alone.

The Brighter Days Mental Health and Recovery Clinic is not a new direction. It is the next step in the work you have already made possible, a Christ centered space where healing reaches the whole person.

Counseling grounded in hope

Ugandan counselors will walk with children and parents through trauma, bullying, shame, and fear so they no longer carry it alone.

Recovery support for families

Parents who have turned to substances or harmful patterns to cope will find Christ centered support and a path toward stability.

Follow up that makes healing last

Ongoing check ins, home visits, and community education help families stay strong long after clinic day.

Where jiggers and mental health meet

Jiggers isolate children from school, friends, and play. Many are mocked, rejected, or called cursed. Even after the jiggers are gone, fear and shame often remain.

The Brighter Days Clinic will give children and parents a safe place to talk, pray, and heal. It will help them rebuild confidence and relationships so they can walk in freedom inside and out.

Joy’s story

Joy before and after jigger treatment at Sole Hope

When thirteen year old Joy arrived at Sole Hope, she could barely walk. Jiggers had taken over her feet and legs. Kids in her village mocked her and called her “little duck,” pushing her aside.

Our team removed more than seven hundred jiggers, treated the infection, fed her healthy meals, prayed with her, and reminded her of her worth.

Weeks later she walked out standing tall. Her village saw her differently. She returned home full of joy, finally living up to her name.

“I felt like I was loved again. I am not a curse. I am a child of God.”

Stories like Joy’s are why the Brighter Days Clinic matters. Healing feet changes the way a child walks. Healing the heart changes the way a child lives.
