Isaiah’s steps are coming back.
When our team first met Isaiah, an 8 year old boy from a village outside Jinja, he could barely stand. His feet were swollen with jiggers. He had stopped going to school. Other children called him a curse.
At a Sole Hope clinic, our Ugandan nurses washed his feet, removed dozens of jiggers, and wrapped his wounds with care. He received shoes to protect his steps and an invitation back for follow up care.
Today, Isaiah is back in class. He walks without pain. His mother tells our team, “I thought he would never run again. Now I see my boy with hope in his eyes.”
