Invest in healing for children in Uganda
Your leadership gift helps children move from preventable pain to health, dignity, and hope through simple medical care, jigger removal, and protective shoes.
This page is for donors who are able to give at higher levels and want a clear view of what their support makes possible.
The problem your gift helps solve
Jiggers, also called tungiasis, are tiny sand fleas that burrow into the skin of the feet. They cause pain, swelling, infection, and disability for children in rural Uganda. Many stop going to school because every step hurts.
In global health conversations, tungiasis is a neglected tropical disease that rarely gets attention, even though it affects many children in the communities we serve. Families are often left to face this alone.
At Sole Hope, we provide hands on medical care, safe jigger removal, wound treatment, and education so that children can walk, play, and learn again.
How Sole Hope responds
Medical care in the communities that need it most
Our Ugandan medical team hosts free clinics in high need villages, offering gentle jigger removal, wound care, and follow up for children and their families.
Protective shoes for healing feet
Skilled shoemakers in Uganda craft durable, closed toe shoes from denim uppers and recycled rubber. These shoes protect healing feet from reinfestation and provide fair jobs for local families.
Residential care for severe cases
Children with advanced cases receive intensive care, nutrition, and support at the Sole Hope Hope Center until they are ready to return home, healthy and able to walk again.
